# SAP Solution Manager 7.1 sapinst – SPM anstelle vom Installation Master

Wer dieser Tage einen [SAP Solution Manager](https://rz10.de/sap-solution-manager/) 7.1 sapinst sucht, dürfte über die zum Jahreswechsel 2013 durchgeführte Umstellung der Vorgehensweise von SAP NetWeaver Installationen stolpern. Die Installationsmedien sind alle wie gewohnt nummeriert und verfügbar - bis auf den Installation Master mit dem sapinst. Die Lösung hierfür ist das Werkzeug Software Provisioning Manager (SPM) aus dem [SL Toolset im SAP Support Portal](http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000737068&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&), diesen lädt man zusätzlich herunter und nutzt ihn für die Installation anstelle des Installation Masters. Leider sind derzeit noch nicht alle Master- und Installation Guides aktualisiert.

Ein alternativer Indikator und gute Erinnerung für "die Software muss mit dem Software Provisioning Manager installiert werden" dürfte auch der jeweilige Link im Download Bereich des jeweiligen SAP Produktes sein. So fehlt der Link zum Beispiel beim Solution Manager 7.0 Download.

Der Software Provisioning Manager fühlt sich übrigens an wie ein "normaler" Installation Master, der die Programme sapinst und sapinstgui enthält.
